Minima moralia devotion 2010 – segarcea

Winemaking method: The grapes are hand-harvested. Cabernet Sauvignon and Marselan underwent classical maceration-fermentation in piston winemakers, whereas for Syrah we chose carbonic maceration of undestemmed grapes. Aging was made in first and second use French and American oak barrels, for 6 to 12 months.

Tasting notes: On the first contact, this is a wine with a timid attack, with dark notes of dry figs and wood, earth and ink darkness. It instantly unveils the jam and fresh fruits nuances, doubled by a less noticeable range of flavours which contribute to completing the whole: tobacco, fine leather, pepper and spices, a tinge of vanilla and an unperceivable allusion to exotic fruit. The taste seems an encounter of youth and maturity, with well measured, perfectly integrated tannins, conferring weight and balance to a youthful acidity that reduces somewhat the austere nuances of the wine.
Recommended serving temperature: 16ºC – 18ºC. The possible deposits certify the minimal intervention performed on the wine.

“True strength lies in submission which permits one to dedicate his life, through devotion, to something beyond himself.”— Henry Miller
